This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of recording live instrumentation, guitar, drums, bass, and vocals in a real world studio setting. Ideal for home studio enthusiasts, recording engineers, and aspiring musicians, we’ll touch on many of the techniques used on some of your favorite records. Beginning and advance recordists are welcome.

ABOUT THE STUDIO
Signature Sound is San Diego’s premire commercial recording studio. This Grammy winning facility has hosted sessions by U2, Jewel, Switchfoot, The Used, Blink-182, Boxcar Racer, New Found Glory, Finch, POD, Al Jereau, Randy Jackson, Big Mountain, Sony Music and Warner Records.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
A musician from a very young age, Professional Mix / Recording Engineer and Record Producer Christian Cummings began performing live at age 15 in Hollywood. By his early 20s Christian was a veteran touring musician, having shared the stage with everyone from Foo Fighters to Snoop Dogg. People Christian has worked with include Ken Andrews (Failure, Year Of The Rabbit, ON), Los Angeles Digital Noise Academy, Matt Squire (Panic At The Disco, Thrice, Boys Like Girls), Marcos Curiel (P.O.D), Skeleton Crew Records (from Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance), and others. He has received degrees from both San Diego State University and Berklee College of Music.
