Music Mixing Engineer, Producer & Recording Engineer Christian Cummings

Nirvana - In Bloom. Deconstructed by Butch Vig.

May 5th, 2008 by Christian Cummings

Here is a video of Butch Vig playing back the multi-tracks of In Bloom on his SSL. It’s pretty to awesome to hear him solo out some of the parts. For those of you who don’t know, Butch Vig was the Producer and Engineer on Nirvana’s classic record Nevermind. The music mixing was done by Andy Wallace, one of my favorite all time fav Rock mixers. Check the harmonies between Dave Grohl and Kurt - did you know the lyric was “knows not what it means?” and not “dont know what it means?”. Bad ass.
