Growing up in Southern California and a musician from a very young age, Christian Cummings began his career in music performing in Hollywood as a teenager. As he grew as an artist so did his goals and skills. In his early 20s Christian was a veteran touring musician, having shared the stage with everyone from the Foo Fighters to Snoop Dogg. After graduating college from San Diego State University, Christian joined friend and colleague Bryan Stratman to help construct Capricorn Studios. It was here that he began developing his professional recording career by cutting hundreds of projects to both analog tape and earlier Pro Tools systems.

More recently, in 2008 Christian teamed up with San Diego recording studio Signature Sound. Literally the birthplace for millions in record sales, Signature has hosted recording sessions for artists such as U2, Blink-182, Switchfoot, The Used, T-Pain, New Found Glory and P.O.D. In 2009 Christian assisted in a redesign of the A Room console, replacing the aging API Legacy with a custom designed hybrid API 32 channel 1608 console and Avid D-Command control surface. Since then the room has hosted recording sessions for Rob Halford (Judas Priest, Halford), Unwritten Law and record producer Mark Endert (Madonna, Fiona Apple, Maroon 5) among others.

In 2007 Christian toured as the drummer for Ken Andrews, performing much of Ken’s catalogue including classics from his band Failure (who’s musicians have gone on to become members of A Perfect Circle, Queens of the Stone Age, Autolux and Nine Inch Nails). Also released in 2007, Christian is featured on the live album for the Secrets Of The Lost Satellite tour.
 
Although a good amount of his time is spent at Signature Sound, Christian continues to be active writing, producing, engineering and mixing records for up and coming artists all over the world. In his extra time Christian has instructed courses in studio production at The Art Institute of California, San Diego.  He is also an active member of ASCAP and The Recording Academy.
